WEBER 45DCOE ON FORD CROSSFLOW I/L- CATERHAM, WESTFIELD, LOCOST, ROBIN HOOD, FORD ESCORT, CAPRI, CORTINA and any car using the KENT engine. This came off a 1700cc crossflow engined caterham. Set up on a rolling road, this gave excellent power and strong mid range torque.

Was used for fast road use, and the occasional club hillclimb and sprint. The owner wanted acceleration between the corners, whilst retaining reasonable road manners. This was run on an engine using a big valve head, fast road cam, non- vac dizzy and a big bore exhaust. It retains the jetting as set up on this car, the carb having done only a few thousand miles since.

Offered in good condition, this has been run on pump fuel only (no harmful Methanol), using an in line fuel filter and pressure regulator. It had a K+N filter (not included), and has been used on tarmac surfaces only (no stage rallying, or autograss, where vibration and dust ingress can ruin a carb). It is mounted on a quality, cast alloy crossover manifold which has a vacuum take-off for the brake servo or vacuum gauge.
