This is a very good quality, brand new, chrome automatic electric aerial, power antenna supplied by Hirschmann of Germany. It is a Hirschmann HIT AUTA 2060 aerial. Hirschmann supplied this type of mid-range aerial to Ford and BMW as Factory Fitted Original Equipment (OE), and as an approved after-market upgrade accessory in the 1970's, 1980's and 1990's.

The early OE Ford and BMW aerials used to have an aluminium body and normally a circular blue label on the motor case displaying the vehicle manufacturers name and order codes. This later after-market version has a quality moulded black body manufactured from Polyamide 6. But is still made to. Hirschmann's high OE standards and is vastly superior to copies which are now widely available from China but which have inferior specification and poorer quality chrome plating. When fitted, the aerial is indistinguishable externally from the original Ford/BMW aerials.

This aerial is ideal for many classic, retro and old timer cars, to replace OE aerials or to upgrade from a manual aerial. Often suitable for either front, or rear wing/fender mounting with an appropriate length extension cable, but you need to check the physical dimensions and wing angle at the intended position to confirm suitability. Smooth and quiet in operation.

Good quality fuse, fuse holder, mounting bracket, screws washers and drain tube. Supplied with multi-lingual instructions & installation suggestions in English, German and French. 5 section telescopic extends to 980cm. 325 x 90 x70 mm.
