Ford Lotus Cortina Mk2 Mk1 Twincam L Block Escort Elan Vegantune Race Twin cam

As part of a clear out of 60s/70s classic Ford parts, Escort, Anglia and Cortina spares (inc Lotus Twincam engine parts). The item for sale today is a used genuine Ford L block for the Lotus Twincam 1558cc engine. The engine came to me dismantled from a Vegantune F3 single seat race car hence some of the mods/damage? The block is bored 83.5mm and showing some water marks in the bores from poor storage. The block itself is missing a gearbox attachment lug (removed for starter clearance with Hewland gearbox) and has a weld repair to one side adjacent to the mount showing no damage inside block? The oil gauge fitting has also been enlarged and blanked slightly offset in my opinion? And the rear gallery plug has an Allen key snapped in it! The block is graded by Ford for Lotus and has been given an LB stamp on the front face above the water pump. The block also has a period strengthening mod to the main caps consisting of machined straps with screws and spacers. I have listed the block'for parts not working' as its not a std L block but may be of use to someone? I will work with your courier if preferred but goods are classed as received when your courier collects.
